Meet Dr. Taryn Vian



About Dr. Taryn Vian

Dr. Taryn Vian is one of the foremost experts on health sector corruption in the world. She has published more than 150 articles, book chapters, and technical reports on anti-corruption and health systems topics. A retired full professor from the University of San Francisco and Boston University, Dr. Vian has taught and mentored students in anti-corruption tools and strategies, financial management for health programs, leadership and collaboration, and evidence-based writing.
She has given keynote speeches at the International Anticorruption Conference in Lima, Peru, and the National Convention on Ethics in Health in Rome, Italy, and has presented on corruption and health for international and regional audiences in Bangladesh, Brazil, Cameroon, Norway, Tunisia, Switzerland, Vienna, New York and Washington, DC. Dr. Vian has a PhD from Boston University in Public Policy and Global Health, an MS in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, and a BA in Philosophy from Colgate University.
